About the Department
The Department of Networking is committed to provide the platform to meet the needs of current and future industry requirements. The goal of the department is to promote research and education in the area of modern networking and communication technologies. A comprehensive curriculum on a large number of cutting-edge technologies are delivered to the students, including mobile and wireless systems, advanced networking, Internet of Things, and Cloud computing technologies.
Research Exposure
Faculties are actively engaged in advanced research areas including Wireless communications, Cloud computing, Quantum computing, Mobile adhoc networks and Internet of Things. This helps the students to get direct exposure to the research knowledge and problem solving skills. The latest technologies are given as hands-on training in a comprehensive fashion covering all the OSI layers from Physical to Applications. Students are equipped with designing and analysing the various network topologies and protocols using real time and simulation platforms like CISCO packet tracer, wireshark etc.
